Convention And Visitors Bureau offers you expert assistance in arranging and coordinating
every aspect of your event. Whether large in scale or a more intimate gathering, we have all
of the pieces you are looking for.

ATTENDANCE BUILDING
- Promotional materials available to be sent as pre-promotion
- A customized presentation illustrating the Magic in Springfield
- An “e-blast template” that can be sent to your attendees from the mayor, that includes SCVB
links as well as your meeting information. Our Digital Resource Package CD-ROM complete with
photos, maps and illustrations you can use to promote your Springfield meeting
- The SCVB website icon to add to your website for a convenient link to visitor information
- Our “Partners in Planning” public relations kit (available on CD-ROM or hard copy) includes
ready-to-go feature stories, stock photos, sample news releases, media lists and camera-ready maps
COMPREHENSIVE, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
- The SCVB Housing Service helps to manage our housing reservations if your event is booking in five or more hotels with a minimum of 800 rooms per night.
- Our Special Event Coordination service is available to assist you in planning special events or unique venues that will captivate your attendees, such as a personal visit from President Lincoln, or a candlelight dinner reception at the Old State Capitol.
- Our free Tour and Program Planning service can arrange customized tours or schedule tours at any Lincoln related site, including the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and the New Salem Log Cabin Village.
- Our Parking and Ground Transportation Coordination can help you develop the best parking plan, arrange for charter bus or limousine services from the airport, or provide information about Springfield’s Trolley service and other public transportation within the city.
- Name badges can be furnished for your convenience. (Please allow a minimum of 14 days prior to conference dates for completion.)
- The SCVB staff can be a valuable resource for speakers, entertainment options and unique activities for all your attendees, whether yours is a new event, or one thats made Springfield home for years.

CONCIERGE-STYLE SERVICES BRING ADDED VALUE
- Staffed during peak hours of registration, the SCVB can provide an information booth offering brochures and maps, along with restaurant reservation assistance, hotel reservations and information on special events and entertainment options.
- SCVB staff can also act as liaison between the meeting planner and civil officials for proclamations, ribbon cutting ceremonies and opening session appearances.
- Made-to-order welcome signs are available when ordered in advance.
